Teaching Assistant - Primary School (SEN Support) Ashford, Kent | Full-Time | September Start Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every day? Academics are working with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Ashford that is seeking dedicated a Teaching Assistant to join their team from September on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils on a 1:1 basis, helping children with Special Educational Needs to thrive both academically and socially. The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs, with a particular focus on Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). You will play a key role in delivering personalised support, building positive relationships, and helping pupils access learning in a nurturing environment. The Role • Full-time, Monday to Friday • September start • Providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEN • Supporting children with ASC and SLCN • Working closely with teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored interventions • Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive engagement in learning The Ideal Candidate • Has previous Teaching Assistant or SEN experience (experience supporting pupils with ASC is highly desirable) • Is patient, caring, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs • Holds an Enhanced DBS, or is happy to apply for one • Is available to work five days per week • Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills • Is reliable, proactive, and committed to helping every child reach their full potential In Return, We Offer • Competitive daily pay • Dedicated support from an experienced education consultant • Opportunities for ongoing professional development • A rewarding role within a supportive and welcoming school environment • The potential for long-term opportunities If you're passionate about supporting children with SEN and are looking for a fulfilling role this September, we'd love to hear from you.
