Chester | Full-Time | KS1 Teaching Assistant Are you a passionate Teaching Assistant who loves helping young children develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning? Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a large and welcoming primary school in Chester to recruit a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and supportive school where you'll play a vital role in helping pupils achieve their full potential during the crucial early stages of their education. The school is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Teaching Assistant who can provide high-quality classroom support and contribute positively to a thriving Key Stage 1 team. The role is working full time with working hours of 8:30am to 3:30pm. The school are looking for someone who can commit long term. Your responsibilities will include: • Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom. • Working with small groups of pupils to reinforce key learning objectives. • Providing targeted support in phonics, reading, writing, and mathematics. • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting pupil engagement. • Assisting with classroom preparation and learning resources. You will ideally have: • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school. • Experience supporting pupils within Key Stage 1. • A strong understanding of early reading, phonics, and child development. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • A positive, patient, and nurturing approach. • The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
