SEN Teaching Assistant Location: East London Contract: Full-time / Part-time (term-time only) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in East London. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing tailored support to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities • Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis or in small groups • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons • Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies • Promote a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment • Support pupils with personal care where required • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and SENCOs Requirements • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties) • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach • Strong communication and teamwork skills • Ability to adapt support to meet individual needs • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) Desirable • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, SEN training) • Experience in a primary or secondary school setting Why Join Us? • Supportive leadership and experienced SEN team • Ongoing training and professional development • Opportunity to make a real difference in pupils' lives • Friendly and inclusive school community Please send your CV to Tyrique at Remedy
