Teaching Assistant • Location: Horsham • Job Type: Full Time • Hours: 8am - 4.45pm (inc Breakfast and After School Club We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a lovely primary school in Horsham. This is a full time position offers regular, rewarding work and the opportunity to make a significant impact in the educational journey of young learners. Day-to-Day Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant: • Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities. • Work with pupils one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning. • Assist with behaviour management and ensure a positive learning environment. • Prepare learning materials and resources as directed by the teacher. • Support children with additional needs, providing individualised assistance. • Help with classroom organisation, displays, and tidying. • Supervise pupils during breaks, transitions, or off-site activities. • Provide pastoral support to pupils and help encourage positive social skills. • Follow safeguarding procedures and uphold school policies at all times. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Experience working in a school setting is essential. • DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). • Ability to adapt quickly within a busy, fast-paced primary environment. • A proactive, patient, and supportive approach to working with children.
