SEN Teaching Assistant - Lambeth | Part-Time Role Location: Lambeth (near Clapham South) Start Date: ASAP Contract: Part-time | 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) | Long-term Pay: £95-£115 per day Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant OpportunityA welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Streatham area of Lambeth is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a pupil with Down's Syndrome. This SEN Teaching Assistant role is part-time, working three days per week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful and consistent impact on a child's learning, development and daily school experience. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support staff to ensure the pupil is fully included in classroom activities and receives tailored support to meet their individual needs. The RoleAs a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: • Provide one-to-one support for a pupil with Down's Syndrome • Support access to learning across a mainstream classroom setting • Assist with communication, social development and engagement • Provide intimate care support where required • Help promote independence, confidence and wellbeing throughout the school day The Ideal CandidateThe school is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant who: • Has experience working with children with additional needs (SEN experience desirable) • Is calm, patient and compassionate • Is confident providing personal and intimate care support • Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils • Works well as part of a supportive school team Experience in a similar SEN or care-based role would be highly beneficial for this SEN Teaching Assistant position.
