Full job description Teaching Assistant - Retford Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a primary school across Retford? Or do you have relevant experience working with children and want to build a rewarding career supporting pupils with their learning, confidence and development? Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking enthusiastic and dependable Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools in Retford and the surrounding areas. Roles may involve general classroom support, one-to-one work, small-group interventions or supporting pupils with additional needs. We are looking for full-time and part-time Teaching Assistants, with daily supply, short-term and long-term opportunities available. Responsibilities Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce classroom learning Delivering targeted interventions in phonics, reading, writing and mathematics Supporting pupils with SEND and adapting activities where required Preparing classroom resources and assisting teachers with learning activities Promoting positive behaviour, confidence, independence and engagement Providing pastoral support and helping pupils manage their emotions appropriately Following school safeguarding, behaviour and inclusion policies Requirements Previous experience working with children within a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, although relevant experience will also be considered A patient, positive and proactive approach to supporting children Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team Confidence supporting pupils with different abilities and additional needs Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances where applicable and suitable professional references Comprehensive employment history covering the previous 10 years where possible Right to work in the UK To find out more about Teaching Assistant opportunities in Retford, contact Harry on . #INDNOTTS
