Teaching Assistant A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Ealing is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated support team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established secondary school in Ealing that prides itself on its strong pastoral support and inclusive approach to education. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to help students access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. You will be supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language needs, and moderate learning difficulties (MLD). The role will involve providing support within the classroom, as well as delivering focused one-to-one and small group interventions to help students make academic and personal progress. Applicants with previous experience supporting SEN students-particularly those with ASD, ADHD, or communication needs-and who can demonstrate confidence working with young people may be considered for a higher daily rate. Responsibilities • Support students during lessons to help them engage with learning and access the curriculum. • Deliver targeted one-to-one and small group interventions to reinforce learning and build confidence. • Provide tailored support for students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and MLD. • Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and learning resources. • Help create a positive, inclusive, and well-structured learning environment where all students can thrive. Requirements • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable. • Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs is advantageous. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • A patient, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting students. • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative school team.
