Reception Teaching Assistant Location: Wigan Duration: Long-term from September Salary: £94 per day Are you an Early Years specialist looking for a stable long-term role in a supportive environment? This position is to start in September on an ongoing basis. The Role Working within a collaborative Reception team, you will play a vital role in supporting the transition and development of the school's youngest learners. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the Class Teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum. Leading small group activities focusing on Phonics (Read Write Inc. or similar), early literacy, and numeracy. Observations and contributing to student profiles/assessments. Providing a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment through indoor and outdoor play. Supporting pupils with diverse needs, ensuring every child thrives. Requirements Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Proven experience working within an EYFS or Nursery setting. A deep understanding of the EYFS framework.
