Job description

We are looking for a Nursery Nurse to join an outstanding Term-time Nursery organisation located in the boroughs of Fulham and Kensington, London. This role would suit anybody that has experience as a qualified Nursery Practitioner, with strong knowledge of EYFS and Safeguarding. This role is term-time only, 8am-5pm or 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care for children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in nurturing and supporting the development of young children, ensuring their safety and well-being while fostering an engaging learning environment. Duties • Provide attentive care and supervision for children in the nursery, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's learning. • Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities, while maintaining a structured environment. • Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development and sharing insights with parents. • Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the nursery. • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery space, ensuring it is safe and welcoming for children. Qualifications • Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare are essential. • Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable. • Strong communication skills in English to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour in a busy environment. • Demonstrated leadership skills to guide and support junior staff members when necessary. • A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering their development. • A valid driving licence is an advantage but not essential.
