Job description

Terminal Operator Up to £37,640 salary + shift allowance (additional £11,000) + On call rota fee Inverness Starting off on Monday - Friday then later moving onto shift work - 2 days/2 nights/6 off Outsource UK are recruiting experienced operators for our client who are a fuel storage company based in Inverness. Experience working in top tier COMAH/aviation fuel environments is preferred. The position will initially operate on core hours before transitioning into a 24-hour shift pattern, including participation in standby and on-call rotas. Key Responsibilities: • Setting up pumping routes and safely receiving, delivering, and transferring fuel products between sites • Operating in accordance with approved route cards and operational procedures • Acting as an Approved Inspector of Fuel Quality, maintaining fuel and additive integrity • Managing stock control activities including tank dipping, temperature correction, batch records, and month-end accounting • Operating computerised systems including SCADA and ABB systems • Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards across plant, equipment, and facilities • Supporting emergency preparedness and response activities • Liaising with SCADA control teams to ensure safe and efficient depot and pipeline operations • Issuing Permits to Work and monitoring contractor compliance • Carrying out planned proof checks on equipment and systems • Supporting maintenance activities where required • Reporting defects, hazards, near misses, and operational issues promptly • Participating in standby and emergency callout rotas • Monitoring and maintaining pipeline wayleaves, vegetation control, and pipeline infrastructure • Conducting site visits and inspections relating to third-party works • Compiling operational reports including infringements, line walks, aerial patrol findings, and site inspections About You • Experience in fuel handling, pipeline operations, or hazardous environments • Knowledge of COMAH and COSHH regulations • Experience using operational control systems such as SCADA Apply Now To apply for this opportunity, please contact Outsource UK or submit your application online.
