Job description

A competent Test Technician with proven experience of working within a High-Tech Electronics/ Mechanical Manufacturing environment; with proven assembly, soldering and wiring experience will join the production team of an award-winning Technology Company. Experience with optical related products highly beneficial. Generous salary with full details on application. The Test Technician role will focus on the electro/opto-mechanical assembly and test of a variety of mission critical imaging and security systems covering the manufacture and testing of mechanical, optical and electronic assemblies, component level fault-finding and documentation. The successful Test Technician should bring the following skills & experience: • An Engineering qualification or equivalent relevant industrial experience. • Proficiency in electro-mechanical / opto-mechanical assembly techniques including soldering, wiring and cable/harness assembly. • Some PCB repair skills. • Good fault-finding and debugging skills. • An understanding of clean room techniques. • The ability to read schematics. • A basic understanding of mechanical design software and appreciation of electronic principles.
