Job description

To supervise and coordinate activities within the theatre environment, delegating duties appropriately and supporting the effective utilisation of staffing resources to meet service demands. To maintain accurate patient documentation and theatre records, ensuring all clinical information, procedural details, and activity data are completed in line with professional, legal, and organisational requirements. To ensure the safe management of medicines, equipment, and clinical resources, reporting faults promptly and supporting the availability of safe and effective facilities for patient care. To participate in multidisciplinary safety processes, including team briefs, de-briefs, and safety checks, promoting effective information sharing and collaborative working practices. To respond effectively to emergency, complex, and unforeseen situations, applying professional judgement and specialist knowledge to support safe decision-making and service continuity. To contribute to audit, research, incident reporting, and compliance activities, supporting the monitoring of service performance and adherence to infection prevention, health and safety, and regulatory standards.
