Job description
To provide patient care within the perioperative environment
and act as a skilled member of the multidisciplinary team.
To assess care needs, develop programmes of care and
implement and evaluate these programmes of care, carrying out all relevant
forms of peri-operative patient care without direct supervision over a 24 hour
period, caring for both adult and paediatric patients undergoing routine and
emergency surgery.
The post carries a regular commitment to rotational night
duty and out-of-hours work, however this is not a requirement for individuals
starting on a training programme.

The care to be delivered in line with both local and
national policies, procedures and guidelines.
