Trading Manager - FMCG / Food

The Company Our client is an established and successful UK retail organisation, working with leading FMCG suppliers and operating a centrally led commercial function The Role Trading Manager – Food / FMCG - Hybrid / excellent benefits The role is responsible for managing food/FMCG categories, leading supplier negotiations, delivering category and promotional plans, and driving margin, income and availability at a national level Key Duties • Lead national supplier negotiations across assigned categories • Develop and implement category and promotional plans • Manage cost price increases and protect margin • Forecast and deliver supplier income • Work with internal stakeholders to agree ranges and availability • Analyse data to identify commercial opportunities and risks Requirements • Experience in a Trading, Buying or Category Management role • Proven supplier negotiation experience within food or FMCG • Strong commercial and analytical skills • Confident managing multiple stakeholders • Advanced Excel skills • Food or FMCG experience preferred Must be able to commute to Harrow location easily If you have not received a response within five working days, please assume that on this occasion your application has not been successful
