Trainee Accountant

REED Practice are working with an established and supportive Accountancy Practice based near Blandford recruiting a Trainee Accountant for a long term career opportunity position. This is a full time, permanent role joining a small team of circa 5, working in modern offices. Please see below Trainee Accountant Location: Near Blandford Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 per annum - Full Time Reports To: Senior Accountant / Practice Manager About the Role We are looking for a motivated Trainee Accountant to join our accountancy practice. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their accounting career while gaining experience across a variety of clients and industries. Key Responsibilities • Assist with the preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. • Complete bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and VAT returns. • Support the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns. • Maintain accurate financial records and client files. • Liaise with clients to obtain information and answer basic queries. • Assist with payroll and other ad hoc accounting tasks as required. Skills & Experience • AAT qualified or studying towards AAT • Good understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles. • Strong Excel and IT skills. • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. • Previous accountancy practice experience and knowledge of Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks is desirable.
