We’re a rapidly growing nationwide accountancy practice offering a fantastic opportunity for a motivated trainee to begin their career in accounting, bookkeeping, and practice administration. No prior accounting qualifications are required — just enthusiasm, professionalism, and a willingness to learn. Full training and support will be provided, including structured study towards recognised bookkeeping and accounting qualifications.
Role Overview
As a Trainee Accounts Assistant / Administrator / Bookkeeper, you’ll support the day-to-day running of the practice, assist with client communication, and learn how to complete a full range of accountancy tasks. This role is ideal for a graduate or trainee candidate looking to build a long-term career in a stimulating, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Client Communication — Answer incoming phone calls, text messages, and emails professionally.
• Practice Administration — Support general admin tasks, client interaction, and workflow coordination.
• Allocating Work — Assign accounts tasks to the correct team members and track progress.
• Payroll Support — Assist with payroll processing (full training provided).
• General Accountancy — Learn and support VAT returns, tax returns, and other accountancy tasks.
• Bookkeeping — Record income, maintain ledgers, and support day-to-day bookkeeping.
• Quality Assurance — Complete QA checklists to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Workflow Tracking — Monitor work progress and ensure tasks are completed on time.
