What's the role? Rybka currently have a position available for an enthusiastic Trainee CAD/BIM Technician to join our busy team in either Edinburgh or Glasgow offices. In this role you’ll work with our building services engineering teams to develop and modify high quality 2D CAD layouts, spatially coordinated 3D models and technical design drawings. All training and support will be provided via a combination of accredited external trainers and internal mentoring and knowledge share. Key Responsibilities: • Converting engineering design intent into technical design drawings. • Developing 3D building services models within Revit. • Coordinating 3D models against other disciplines models (architectural, structural etc.) • Utilise a suite of digital tools to ensure models are spatially coordinated and compliant with industry standards & best working practices. • Document management with regards to the issuing of design deliverables. • Develop an understanding of information management practices and procedures and enhanced knowledge of engineering, and wider construction, principles gained through project experience. • Adherence to company and/or project specific standards and working practices What we’re looking for: • Knowledge of industry software such as Revit, AutoCAD & Navisworks Manage is beneficial not essential. • Good interpersonal communication skills. • Ability work within a core team to achieve common goals • Strong attention to detail. • Ability to work to tight deadlines. • Base level of I.T. literacy.
