Are you an outdoor instructor or sports coach looking to transition into a life-changing teaching career?If you have the resilience, active energy, and strong presence needed to lead young people, you do not need a completed PGCE or QTS right now. We are looking for an Unqualified Outdoor Education Teacher / Sports Coach in Burnley who wants to get paid a full salary while training on the job to become a qualified educator.
Trade the rigid desk classroom for the outdoors. We use sports, bushcraft, fitness, and outdoor adventure activities as a vehicle to re-engage young people who struggle within traditional mainstream education settings.
The Role & Teacher Training Route

• Ex-Military / Service Personnel: Disciplined professionals looking to bring structure, leadership, and resilience to a rewarding community setting.
Requirements
• Experience leading, coaching, or working with youth or young adults (sports, youth clubs, or community schemes).
• Full UK Driving License (Essential): Must be willing to drive the school minibus to take students to outdoor locations around Burnley and Lancashire.
• Strong behavioural boundary setting, a "thick skin", and an empathetic, trauma-informed approach to supporting vulnerable pupils.
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
