Trainee Warehouse Operative

Our client based in Grays are looking for a Junior to train to be a Warehouse Operative within their organisation. Key Responsibilities • Loading and unloading containers, including handballing and using pump trucks • Picking and packing customer orders accurately • Moving, stacking, labelling, wrapping, and preparing pallets for dispatch • Stock replenishment and stock consolidation • Assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles • Carrying out regular housekeeping duties, including sweeping, keeping work areas tidy, and emptying waste bins • Following picking lists, packing instructions, and warehouse procedures accurately • Ensuring goods are handled safely to minimise damage • Working as part of a team to meet daily operational deadlines • Complying with all company health and safety procedures Requirements • No previous warehouse experience is essential, as full training will be provided • Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting throughout the working day • Able to read and understand picking and packing lists • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team • Good attention to detail • Willing to work additional hours, start earlier, or finish later when required to meet business demands • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
