Transport Planner

Transport Planner Salary: £32000 Days: Monday - Friday Hours: 07:30 - 16:30 Responsibilities: - Plan and coordinate transportation routes for efficient delivery of goods - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment - Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery - Optimize transportation processes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency - Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and performance metrics - Communicate with drivers, carriers, and customers to address any issues or concerns - Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices in transportation planning -Maintaining a professional attitude when liaising with customers - Planner to be on call when not in the office. Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Transport Planner or in a similar role - Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices -Strong knowledge of the UK road networks - Proficient in using transportation management software and systems - Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
