We are seeking a Parcel Trunking Planner to join our fast-paced network logistics team in Nuneaton. Operating at the core of our hub network, you will be responsible for planning and optimising trunk movements (HGV Class 1) across the UK. Your shift (10:00 - 18:30) is the most critical window in our operation. You will analyse afternoon parcel volume spikes, optimise trailer utilisation, and finalise the crucial linehaul schedules before the nightly trunking network dispatches. Person Specification • Excel Savvy: Microsoft Excel skills are mandatory. You must be comfortable using pivot tables, and formulas to handle large data feeds. • Strong Numerical Agility: mental math and analytical skills to quickly convert parcel volumes into required trailer counts. • Problem-Solving Mindset: The ability to stay calm under pressure and make fast, logical decisions when networks experience delays or disruptions. • Logistics/Supply Chain Background: Prior experience in transport planning, network routing, or parcel logistics is highly desirable. • Geographical Knowledge: A solid understanding of the UK motorway network and strategic transport corridors. Benefits: • Competitive Rates of Pay • Company Funded Health Cash Plan • Holidays: 20 days increasing with length of service + bank holidays • Long Service Recognition scheme • Enhanced Maternity & Paternity • Company Pension Scheme • Life Assurance • Employee Assistance programme including 24/7 Virtual GP • DX Discounts Portal • Opportunity to obtain additional licences (C / C+E) • Excellent opportunities for career progression and more!!
