Job Title: Travel & Tourism Lecturer Salary: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience and qualifications) Start Date: Ongoing opportunities available About the Role We are currently recruiting for experienced and enthusiastic Travel & Tourism Lecturers to join a range of well-established Further Education providers. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact on learners pursuing careers within the travel, tourism, hospitality, and aviation industries. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective lessons, supporting students in developing their industry knowledge, customer service skills, and understanding of the global travel and tourism sector while helping them achieve their academic and career goals. Key Responsibilities • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Travel & Tourism lessons. • Teach Travel & Tourism programmes to learners across a range of levels and abilities. • Assess, monitor, and track student progress. • Provide constructive feedback and academic support to learners. • Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements. • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment. • Support learners in developing their understanding of global tourism, visitor attractions, destination management, customer service, and industry operations. • Contribute to learner achievement, retention, and progression. Requirements • Relevant degree or qualification in Travel & Tourism, Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, Aviation, Events Management, or a related subject. • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent). • Experience teaching Travel & Tourism within Further Education, Higher Education, Secondary Education, or Adult Learning environments. • Strong classroom management and communication skills. • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one. • Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities. • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for travel and tourism education. • Industry experience within travel, tourism, aviation, hospitality, events, or a related sector is desirable.
