To act under the supervision of the Surgical Consultants in the provision of aSurgical service and to support the Surgical Consultants in their duties. Daily ward rounds with the vascular surgical team. Operating theatre duties as assigned. Outpatient clinics General/Vascular on call on registrar rota (1in 10) To admit patients from the Emergency Department Document review findings in clinical notes in a timely and legible manner. To contribute to quality improvement; risk management initiatives and policydevelopment so that the overall Surgical Service is of the highest quality. To assist in the education of colleagues and staff. To participate in work related projects at NGH To act and behave professionally and perform ones duties in a manner thatoptimises patient care and protects and enhances the reputation of NGH To comply with Health and Safety Regulations, ensuring safe working practicesin a safe working environment. To undertake any other duties that may be required, which could include assisting medical colleagues throughout the hospital and acting as a resource for morejunior colleagues.
