Vehicle Technician

We are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician on behalf of a leading automotive retailer with franchise-approved dealerships nationwide. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled and experienced Vehicle Technicians to join a well-established dealership in Gloucester. Benefits: • Competitive salary ranging from £28,000 to £45,800, dependent on experience and qualifications • Access to an over-performance bonus scheme • £3,000 sign-on bonus (£1,500 on joining and £1,500 after 12 months) • Overtime paid at time and a half, including Saturdays • 33 days annual leave, increasing to 37 days over service • Extensive manufacturer-approved training • Staff purchase discounts and a wide range of retail discounts • Pension scheme, tool insurance, share incentives • Long-term career development with a multi-award-winning automotive retailer Duties of a Vehicle Technician: • Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles • Ensure all work adheres to the manufacturer's standards and franchise guidelines • Accurately report vehicle conditions, faults, safety, and performance issues to the Service Manager • Maintain high quality standards and follow health and safety procedures at all times • Use your technical expertise to deliver excellent customer service and support the workshop team • Work efficiently in a busy environment, meeting targets and quality expectations • Ensure vehicles are repaired and maintained to the highest standards Requirements of a Vehicle Technician: • Qualified to at least IMI/NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent • One to two years’ practical experience as a Vehicle Technician • Own set of tools • Full UK driving licence with minimal penalty points • Experience working within a franchise-approved dealership is advantageous but not essential • Active MOT Smart Card would be beneficial • Motivated, team-oriented, and committed to high standards of work • Able to work in a fast-paced, professional workshop environment Contact Sarena Abbott, Automotive Recruitment Specialist at Perfect Placement covering Gloucester and Gloucestershire, today to discover more about this fantastic Vehicle Technician opportunity.
