Vehicle Technician

We are currently seeking a Vehicle Technician on behalf of our client, a reputable automotive dealership in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. This Vehicle Technician role offers the opportunity to join a well-established, professional team committed to delivering exceptional automotive repair and maintenance services. Benefits for the successful Vehicle Technician: • Competitive salary up to £40,000 dependent on experience • 5.5-day working week, Monday to Saturday, with Saturdays on a rota basis • Opportunity to work on both routine servicing and complex repairs, including gearboxes, clutches, and timing belts • MOT licence preferred, but not essential, with potential for further career advancement • Ongoing training and development opportunities • Supportive team environment with a focus on skill enhancement • Stable, long-term employment with a reputable company Duties: • Conduct vehicle servicing, repairs, and diagnostics to high standards • Perform thorough inspections and accurately identify faults • Complete complex repairs, including gearboxes, clutches, and timing belts • Maintain detailed documentation and communicate effectively with customers • Follow manufacturer guidelines and health and safety protocols • Ensure repair quality meets company standards • Adhere to all safety regulations and workshop procedures Requirements of the Vehicle Technician: • Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician or Level 2 with significant relevant experience • Proven experience working within a busy automotive workshop environment • Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures • MOT licence is preferred but not essential • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team • Good organisational skills and high standards of workmanship If you are interested in this Vehicle Technician role and want to advance your career with a forward-thinking employer in Wakefield, please find out more.
