Vehicle Technician

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established motor trade service centre in Redhill, Surrey, for the position of Vehicle Technician. This role is ideal for skilled and experienced technicians seeking a rewarding opportunity within a reputable independent workshop. Key benefits of aVehicle Technician: • Competitive salary of £30,000 to £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications, plus monthly team bonuses • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays and social events • Mandatory manufacturer training to enhance technical skills • Use of workshop facilities for private jobs • Employee discounts on parts at trade prices • On-site parking for staff • Supportive, family-run working environment • Opportunity to work on all makes and models, including future EV repairs • Optional Saturday morning rota (1 in 2 Saturdays) Duties of a Vehicle Technician: • Servicing vehicles, including clutches, cambelts, timing chains/belts, suspension, brakes, pads, discs, etc. • Diagnosing vehicle faults and recommending repairs • Repairing and replacing faulty components • Advising service reception staff on repairs required • Maintaining accurate repair and service records • Testing repaired systems to ensure quality • Assisting team members with complex repairs as required • Supporting continuous professional development through manufacturer training Requirements of aVehicle Technician: • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience within a main dealership, service centre, or fast-fit workshop • NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent • Strong diagnostic and repair skills • Knowledge of all makes and models, including EV systems preferred • Excellent communication skills • Live within a practical commuting distance of Redhill, Surrey This is an excellent opportunity for a Vehicle Technician to join a company dedicated to staff development and job satisfaction.
