Job description

My client is global investment bank with a growing presence in Europe and a well-established and high performing Energy & Infrastructure M&A platform. They are now seeking an additional VP to support a strong pipeline of deals. They are active across Transport (ports, airports, toll roads), Utilities, Renewables (wind, solar, biomass) and Transition. Key accountabilities include: • • Contribute to the origination and execution of transactions in the Infra and Energy space • Lead the execution of M&A mandates (buy side and sell side): supervise valuation analysis, research, preparation of transaction materials (information memoranda, management presentations, transaction documentation) • Lead preparation of origination materials in the sector, by directing research and valuation materials for marketing pitches including in particular sector analysis, asset review, financial analysis, modelling and valuation; • Participate in and lead aspects of client origination meetings, as well as leading execution meetings and calls; • Participate in the day-to-day life of the department as well as in the recruitment and mentoring of junior team members. Experience required: • • M&A experience in a globally recognised financial institution or financial services firm • Strong experience in infrastructure and / or Energy, power and utility sectors • Strong track record of closed M&A transactions • Experience/exposure to origination • Excellent knowledge of valuation and modelling techniques, as well as financial theory and accounting, especially in the Power & Infrastructure sectors
