Keeps abreast of service and policy developments. Promotes the use of Trust policies, protocols and guidelines and maintains national and local standards pertaining to the clinical area, taking remedial action as appropriate and reporting deficits to Matron as appropriate. Promotes clinical excellence through initiating & participating in setting, maintaining and monitoring standards of care within a clinical governance framework.
