Job description

My industry leading client, located of Gorsey Lane in Widnes are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse & Assembly Operative ideally with an in-date Counterbalance or Combi Lift licence on a temporary basis for 1 months initially, potential extension through to August 2027, subject to performance and business requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful business the role involves working with long-length aluminium and steel profiles, fabricated metal components, framework systems, and finished products. Candidates must be comfortable handling large, awkward items safely and carefully to maintain product quality. As part of a small warehouse team currently consisting of two, reliability, attendance and a positive attitude are essential. Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (40 hours per week) Salary: £28,080 - £31,200 / £13.50 - £15.00 per hour Responsibilities: • Operating a Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently (if you have an indate licence) • Moving stock, components, and finished products throughout the warehouse. • Offloading inbound deliveries and checking goods in. • Picking and packing customer orders ready for dispatch. • Loading and unloading shipping containers. • Loading containers and products onto flatbed vehicles and trucks. • Assisting with the handling of long-length profiles, framework systems, and fabricated components. • Supporting light assembly, preparation and packaging activities where required. • Using a tablet-based goods in/out system (training provided). • Maintaining accurate stock movements and warehouse records. • Keeping the warehouse clean, organised, and safe at all times Specification: • Valid Counterbalance FLT licence / Combi Lift licence beneficial. • Previous warehouse, logistics or manufacturing experience. • Excellent level of spoken and written English. • Comfortable using electronic tablets. • Able to work safely with long, bulky, and high-value products. • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
