Warehouse Shift Manager (Nights) Manchester £34,500 + £3,000 Shift Allowance + Excellent Benefits Are you an experienced Warehouse Supervisor or Shift Manager looking to take the next step with a well-established distribution business? We're recruiting for a Warehouse Shift Manager (Nights) to lead a busy warehouse operation, driving performance, safety and service across the night shift. The Role You'll be responsible for leading a team through Warehouse Supervisors and Team Leaders, ensuring the shift runs safely, efficiently and delivers outstanding service levels. You'll play a key role in maintaining high operational standards while motivating and developing your team. Key Responsibilities • Lead, coach and develop warehouse teams to achieve operational targets. • Ensure orders are picked, loaded and despatched accurately and on time. • Drive productivity and performance through KPIs and continuous improvement. • Manage attendance, performance and employee development. • Deliver regular shift briefings and team engagement activities. • Maintain excellent housekeeping and warehouse standards. • Champion a strong health & safety culture, completing audits and investigations where required. • Work closely with transport, stock control and wider operations teams to ensure smooth shift performance. About You We're looking for someone who has: • Previous experience leading teams within a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment. • Strong people management and coaching skills. • Experience managing KPIs and driving operational performance. • A proactive, organised and hands-on leadership style. • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office. • A strong focus on health & safety and continuous improvement. • The ability to work under pressure and make decisions in a fast-moving operation.
