Warehouse Night Shift OperativeLocation: Oxfordshire Salary: £30,000 per annum, rising to £32,500 upon successful completion of probation Hours: 4-on-4-off | 7:00pm - 7:00am (12-hour shifts) Planet Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Night Shift Operative to join a well-established logistics business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong warehouse background, ideally within the air cargo or freight industry, who enjoys working in a fast-paced and hands-on environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in the safe handling, storage and movement of cargo while ensuring operational deadlines are consistently achieved. Key Responsibilities • Safely handle a variety of cargo, including chilled, frozen and ambient goods. • Operate a range of counterbalance forklift trucks from 1.5 to 8 tonnes. • Pick, pack, split and sort shipments accurately and efficiently. • Load and unload company vehicles, from vans through to articulated lorries, as well as visiting transport vehicles. • Build, sort and stack aircraft pallets in line with operational requirements. • Record aircraft pallet movements using the warehouse management system and generate the required documentation. • Maintain accurate stock records, both electronically and manually, ensuring all warehouse movements are correctly logged. • Work closely with the office and operations teams to ensure daily workloads are completed efficiently. • Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain excellent housekeeping standards to ensure a clean, organised and safe working environment. • Support the wider warehouse operation with any additional duties as required. About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have: • A minimum of 3 years' warehouse experience. • Previous experience working within the air freight or air cargo industry. • A valid B1 Counterbalance Forklift Licence (B2 qualification would be advantageous but is not essential). • Experience operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE). • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. • The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. • A flexible and reliable approach to work. • A strong commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards. Salary & Benefits • Starting salary of £30,000 per annum, increasing to £32,500 following successful completion of probation. • 4-on-4-off shift pattern. • Working hours of 7:00pm - 7:00am. • Overtime opportunities available throughout the year, with additional hours typically available during peak periods. • 20 days paid annual leave. • Company pension scheme. • PPE allowance and company uniform provided. • Long-term opportunity with a stable and growing business.
