Job description

The Company: Our client is a growing FMCG business that has experienced significant expansion in recent years, outpacing its original growth plans and creating exciting opportunities across its operations function. As part of a wider operational transformation programme, the business is investing heavily in its warehouse structure, leadership capability and processes to support future growth. Following a review of warehouse performance, a new management structure has been introduced, creating an opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to play a key role in shaping the next phase of the operation. This is a business with ambitious plans, a strong customer focus and a genuine commitment to developing its people and creating a high-performing culture. The Role: Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will lead warehouse operations across end to end warehouse operations Key responsibilities include: • Leading, coaching and developing a team of warehouse managers. • Driving operational performance, service levels and productivity. • Embedding structure, consistency and accountability across the operation. • Supporting cultural and process improvements. • Building management capability and succession within the team. • Supporting the transition to a 24/7, seven-day operation. The Person: You will be an experienced warehouse leader with a strong track record of managing managers within a fast-paced FMCG environment. You'll bring: • Proven warehouse operations leadership experience. • Strong people management and coaching skills. • The ability to lead through change and growth. • A collaborative, hands-on leadership style. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on sustainable results. Most importantly, you will take the time to understand the operation, build credibility with the team and implement improvements that deliver long-term success.
