Warehouse Operative
• Location: Camberley
• Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
• Salary: £31,000
We are seeking a Warehouse Operative with a valid Fork Lift Truck (FLT) licence to join our busy warehouse and logistics team in Camberley. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional to thrive in a fast-paced distribution environment, ensuring stock is processed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Day-to-day of the role:
• Picking:
• Accurately picking stock items according to customer orders.
• Working efficiently to meet productivity targets.
• Ensuring picked goods are presented in line with company procedures.
• Packing:
• Checking stock for accuracy during the packing process.
• Packing products safely and securely.
• Preparing all orders to company standards.
• Goods In & Put Away:
• Unloading incoming deliveries and checking them against relevant documentation.
• Storing stock in designated warehouse locations.
• Replenishment:
• Moving stock to picking locations as required.
• Maintaining stock availability throughout the warehouse.
• Loading:
• Building and preparing pallets for dispatch.
• Loading outbound vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Adhering to company procedures for transportation and handling.
• General Warehouse Duties:
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work environment.
• Operating warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
• Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
• Reporting any accidents, hazards, or near misses.
• Supporting other warehouse activities as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a distribution centre or warehouse environment.
• A valid FLT licence and practical operating experience.
• Good manual handling skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Basic IT skills, with experience using warehouse management systems, ideally SAP.
• Experience with warehouse equipment such as mechanical handling equipment and wrapping machinery.
