Warehouse Operative Location: Essex Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Hours: 39 hours per week About the Role We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join a busy and friendly team within a well-established organisation. Reporting to the Sales Office Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of machinery, parts, and equipment. This is a hands-on position that requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Receiving, checking, and processing incoming deliveries accurately Unpacking supplier deliveries and parcels Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently Moving stock between warehouse, showroom, and goods inward areas Assisting with stock control, stock checks, and inventory management Preparing and distributing products to regional depots and customers Maintaining accurate stock records and warehouse documentation Ensuring the warehouse remains clean, organised, and safe at all times Supporting colleagues and contributing to the smooth running of the operation What We're Looking For Essential Skills & Experience Previous warehouse, stores, or stock control experience desirable Full UK driving licence Good general IT skills, including email and internet applications Strong numeracy and literacy skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team A proactive approach with the ability to use initiative Good level of physical fitness and the ability to safely lift items weighing up to 25kg Desirable Forklift licence or previous forklift experience Working Hours Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm 1-hour unpaid lunch break Overtime available as required, including occasional Saturdays Salary & Benefits Competitive salary dependent on experience 32 days annual leave, including Bank Holidays Workplace pension scheme Life assurance scheme Staff discount programme Company sick pay scheme Annual flu vaccination Employee referral scheme Overtime opportunities Apply Now If you're a dependable and enthusiastic Warehouse Operative looking to join a supportive team and build a long-term career with a successful organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
