Warehouse Operative / Order Picker

Northern Catering Butchers, part of Underwood Meat Company Limited, specialists in the production of fresh meat products, are looking for enthusiastic Order Pickers to join an established team and work in their progressive, and fast-paced, meat production facility. The Order Picker position consists of a broad remit of duties, including: - following management and supervisor instructions, specifically in relation to the task in hand. - preparing fresh raw meat products efficiently to both customer and company requirements. - package complete orders, to customer specification, in a time-sensitive matter. - work in a refrigerated environment - ensure compliance with food hygiene standards - ensure compliance with metal detection procedures - maintain stock rotation in finished goods areas. - ensure the company fulfills customer requirements, in a timely manner. The Order Picker will also have a responsibility to keep their work area clean and tidy, at all times, and dispose of waste in the appropriate manner. Shift patterns are early mornings with a mid-afternoon finish, 6 days over 7 (not including Sunday); days off are Sunday.
