Warehouse & Logistics Operative Location: Redhill, Surrey Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 + Benefits Security Requirements: Candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance and be able to provide a 5-year employment history. Join a Growing Technology & Engineering Organisation An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Operative to join a well-established engineering and technology business supporting customers across defence, government and commercial sectors. This is a varied and hands-on role for a warehouse professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of stock control, logistics operations and warehouse processes. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring materials, equipment and products are received, stored and dispatched efficiently, accurately and safely. The Role Key responsibilities will include: • Managing goods-in and goods-out activities. • Processing delivery documentation, dispatch notes, packing lists and shipping paperwork. • Maintaining accurate stock and inventory records. • Updating warranty and inventory databases. • Coordinating the packing and dispatch of goods, including airfreight shipments. • Handling hazardous goods shipments, including lithium batteries, in line with regulations. • Supporting warehouse operations and supervising activities when required. • Operating warehouse equipment, including counterbalance forklifts and scissor lifts. • Assisting with inventory management across multiple business locations. • Supporting health and safety compliance throughout the warehouse environment. • Providing general facilities support, including minor maintenance activities and building support tasks. About You To be successful, you'll ideally have: • A minimum of 5 years' warehouse experience. • A valid forklift truck licence/certificate. • Experience within warehouse, stores, logistics or inventory environments. • Strong stock control and inventory management experience. • Experience dealing with dispatch, shipping and logistics documentation. • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. • The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines. • Strong communication and organisational skills. • A proactive and team-focused approach. • The ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.
