We are currently hiring MIG/TIG Welders to join a leading manufacturer. You will be in a busy workshop environment and responsible for performing high-quality welds, using MIG and TIG techniques, to fabricate and assemble metal components.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm Friday 7am-1pm
Rate: £15.19

Key Responsibilities:
• Execute precise MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials, including mild and hard steel.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment efficiently
• Assist in the assembly of components, ensuring proper fit and finish according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Responsible for the completion of a wide range of fabrications to time to meet powder coating schedules/production requirements.
• Welding mild and hard steel ranging from 2.5mm to 20mm.
• Ensuring tooling, jigs and fixtures are fit for purpose and meet production requirements to produce components to the required standard.
• Ensuring that housekeeping of work area is maintained.
• Responsibilities as listed in Quality Control Manual and procedures to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 requirements.
• Advising Department Section Leader of defective tooling, jigs or fixtures or manufacturing problems that prevent production targets being achieved.
• Responsible for the manufacture of fabrications to drawings or customer requirements
• Assistance in working for other departments when necessary.
• Any other reasonable duties in the welding area.
Requirements:
• Reliability and good communication skills.
• Able to use hand tools.
• Experienced MIG/TIG Welder
• Must be confident carrying out fillet welds on various types of steel and tube.
• Ability to read technical drawings although training will be provided for the right candidate
• IT literate
• Ability to troubleshoot
