Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Wiring Technician to join a growing engineering and manufacturing team. This hands-on role is ideal for an individual with electrical assembly, wiring and fault-finding experience who enjoys working in a precision-focused production environment. You will be responsible for assembling, wiring, testing and inspecting a variety of hydraulic, electrical and electronic products, ensuring all work meets quality standards and technical specifications. Working closely with experienced engineers and production personnel, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality products while contributing to continuous operational efficiency. Duties & Responsibilities • Build, wire and assemble hydraulic manifold systems, valve packs, electrical assemblies and electronic components from engineering drawings and work instructions. • Carry out electrical wiring of components, sub-assemblies and control systems to required quality and customer standards. • Diagnose and resolve assembly, wiring and electrical faults efficiently. • Assemble and configure sub-components, ensuring correct settings and functionality. • Complete PCB wiring and soldering activities where required. • Follow mechanical and electrical drawings, testing procedures and ISO quality standards throughout production. • Complete production documentation, certificates and system data entry accurately. • Support wider production, warehouse and housekeeping activities while maintaining a safe and organised working environment. Education & Skills Required • Previous experience within an electrical assembly, wiring, manufacturing or engineering environment is desirable. • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, assembly drawings and technical instructions. • Knowledge of electrical, electronic and hydraulic assembly techniques. • Strong fault-finding, quality control and problem-solving skills. • Good computer literacy and confidence using business systems and production records. • Reliable team player with excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and a willingness to learn new products, procedures and technologies.
