OverviewA well-established and ambitious insolvency practice is seeking an experienced Corporate Insolvency Practitioner to join its Manchester office, with a clear focus on work winning and business development. This is a senior appointment offering genuine autonomy, strong financial incentives, and the opportunity to play a key role in the firm’s continued growth.
The successful candidate will bring an existing referral network and a proven track record of generating new corporate insolvency appointments, while being supported by a capable operational team to deliver cases efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as appointment-taking Insolvency Practitioner on corporate insolvency cases including CVLs, Administrations, and MVLs
• Proactively generate new instructions through established introducer and professional networks
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with accountants, solicitors, lenders, and other referrers
• Represent the firm at networking events, meetings, and industry forums
• Oversee and review case strategy, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical support to Managers and case teams
• Contribute to the strategic growth and market positioning of the business
Candidate Requirements
• Fully licensed Insolvency Practitioner (essential)
• Strong background in corporate insolvency
• Demonstrable track record of work winning and appointment generation
• Established professional referral network in the North West (or wider UK)
• Commercially astute with excellent relationship-building skills
• Confident decision-maker with a hands-on, pragmatic approach
