I am currently working in partnership with a highly regarded two-form entry primary school in Pontefract that is seeking an exceptional Year 5 Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. The RoleAs the successful Year 5 Teacher, you will take full responsibility for a Year 5 class, delivering engaging and ambitious lessons that inspire pupils and maximise progress.
Key responsibilities include:
• Planning and delivering high-quality KS2 lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
• Monitoring, assessing and tracking pupil progress effectively
• Using assessment data to inform teaching and accelerate achievement
• Building positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
• Contributing positively to the wider life of the school

The Ideal CandidateThe school is looking for a teacher who combines strong classroom practice with a genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
To be successful, you will:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2
• Ideally have previous experience teaching Year 5
• Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and effective assessment practices
• Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Be passionate about raising attainment and achieving positive pupil outcomes
• Be reliable, proactive and able to quickly become part of a successful team
