Year 5 TeacherBarnetAutumn Term Contract | September 2026 StartA highly regarded two-form entry primary school in Barnet, is seeking an experienced and committed Year 5 Teacher to join the school from September 2026.
This is a full-time position for the Autumn Term (September-December), with the possibility of the role continuing beyond Christmas for the right candidate. The school is looking for a confident Key Stage 2 practitioner who can quickly establish positive relationships and maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
The Role
• Full-time Year 5 Teacher position
• Teaching a well-behaved and engaged Year 5 class
• Full class teacher responsibilities, including planning, assessment and parent consultations
• Shared planning and collaboration with the parallel Year 5 teacher
• Delivering engaging and challenging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
• Monitoring pupil progress and ensuring strong outcomes for all learners
• Opportunity for the role to extend beyond the Autumn Term
The Successful Candidate Will Have
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 2
• Strong curriculum knowledge and effective classroom management skills
• A positive and proactive approach to teaching and learning
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to quickly integrate into an established school team
