Year 5 Teaching Assistant - September StartNorthampton | Full-Time | Term Time Only | Competitive Pay We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in Northampton that is looking to appoint a dedicated Year 5 Teaching Assistant for a September start. This is a full-time role supporting a Year 5 class, working alongside the class teacher to help pupils stay engaged, build confidence and make good progress throughout the academic year. The school is looking for someone who is positive, reliable and enjoys working as part of a team. The Role • Support the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities. • Work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning. • Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials. • Encourage pupils to stay focused and participate in lessons. • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment. • Support pupils' social and emotional development where needed. What We're Looking For • Previous experience working with primary-aged children is desirable. • Teaching Assistant experience is beneficial but not essential. • Candidates from childcare, tutoring, youth work or similar backgrounds are encouraged to apply. • A patient and proactive approach to supporting learning. • Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff. • A genuine enthusiasm for helping children reach their potential.
