Job Description 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School (Newham) Salary: £100-£115 per day Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Long-term, Full-time Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm (Monday to Friday) Remedy Education are currently working with a fantastic primary school in Newham who are looking for a strong SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and inclusive setting. About the Role You will be providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN, including behavioural needs. This role is key in helping students stay engaged, regulate emotions, and make consistent progress. Key Responsibilities • Deliver 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN • Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and planning • Manage behaviour and support emotional regulation • Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement • Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment Requirements • Experience supporting children with SEN and challenging behaviour (school setting preferred) • Calm, patient, and resilient approach • Strong communication and teamwork skills • Good level of spoken and written English • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one) • Full CV covering the last 10 years (with gaps explained) What's on Offer • £100-£115 per day (consistent with role) • Long-term opportunity with potential to go permanent • Supportive and well-resourced school • Easily accessible location in Newham Safeguarding Notice Remedy Education are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
