SEND Teaching Assistant

Reed Further Education are always recruiting dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to help learners with additional needs achieve their full potential. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting and motivating learners with mild to moderate learning difficulties and challenging behaviours. • Hourly Rate: £15 - £18 • Location: Various locations in London and the South of the UK • Job Type: Part-time/Full-time From 3-5 day pw Day-to-day of the role: • Support learners with mild to moderate learning difficulties and challenging behaviours. • Assist with reading, scribing, wellbeing, encouragement, and motivation. • Help create, monitor, and review SMART goals to track learner progress. • Promote learner engagement, confidence, and independence. • Provide personalised support both in and out of the classroom, tailored to individual learner needs. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Previous experience supporting SEND learners or managing challenging behaviours, including PMLD. • Familiarity with communication aids like BSL and Makaton is beneficial. • A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to education support.
