3rd Line Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a highly skilled Managed Services team. You'll be responsible for handling technical escalations, managing complex incidents, supporting infrastructure projects, and acting as a senior technical resource across both cloud and on-premise environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving challenging technical problems while helping develop and support a wider engineering team. What You'll Be Doing • Resolving high-priority and complex technical issues • Managing major incidents from investigation through to resolution • Supporting customer infrastructure projects and deployments • Providing guidance and mentoring to support engineers • Working across Microsoft 365, Azure, Exchange, virtualisation, networking, and security technologies • Producing technical documentation and knowledge articles • Contributing to continuous service improvement initiatives Essential Skills • Strong experience within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) • Expertise supporting Microsoft infrastructure technologies • Knowledge of Azure, Microsoft 365, Exchange, networking, and firewalls • Experience with virtualisation platforms • Strong customer-facing communication skills • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities Desirable Skills • Microsoft Expert-level certifications • Cisco certifications (CCNP) • Experience supporting enterprise cloud environments
