Sales Executive / Account Manager
• Annual Salary: £28,000 to £33,000
• Location: West Sussex
• Job Type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
• Hybrid Working: 4 days office-based, 1 day working from home
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Executive / Account Manager to join a growing organisation within the aviation sector. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in sales, account management, or customer service, particularly within aviation, engineering, manufacturing, or other technical environments.
Day-to-day Duties of the role:
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales growth targets.
• Manage customer enquiries from initial contact through to quotation, negotiation and order fulfilment.
• Prepare and issue quotations, follow up on opportunities and maximise conversion rates.
• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts.
• Liaise with internal departments such as Operations, Procurement and Logistics to ensure seamless customer service.
• Monitor customer activity and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products and services.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity within CRM systems.
• Produce regular account reviews and sales reports.
• Resolve customer queries and issues efficiently, ensuring a positive outcome.
• Attend customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows as required.
• Support the achievement of departmental sales and revenue targets.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a Sales Executive, Account Manager, Customer Service, or Commercial role.
• Strong relationship-building and customer management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive sales approach.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
• Track record of delivering exceptional customer service while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Desirable:
• Previous experience within the aviation, aerospace, engineering, or technical sectors.
• Knowledge of aircraft parts, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) operations, and aviation supply chain processes.
• Previous experience using Quantum and other aviation-related ERP, CRM, or inventory management systems.
• Understanding of aviation industry regulations, customer requirements, and AOG (Aircraft on Ground) processes.
• Experience supporting airline, MRO, leasing, or aviation component customers.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing quotations, orders, customer accounts, and supplier relationships within an aviation environment.
