Accounts Payable Assistant

Think Accountancy & Finance have partnered with an impressive local business in the search for an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a fast paced finance team, supporting with a multi-entity environment. This is a busy and varied role where you'll take ownership of your own ledgers, build strong supplier relationships and play an important part in ensuring the smooth running of the Accounts Payable function. The role will include: • Processing high volumes of supplier invoices • Maintaining supplier accounts and reconciling statements • Managing invoice approval workflows and following up outstanding approvals • Preparing and processing supplier payment runs • Daily bank reconciliations • Monitoring cash balances and upcoming payments • Resolving supplier and internal finance queries • Supporting month-end activities • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with internal controls • Assisting with continuous process improvements where possible We're looking for someone who has: • Previous Accounts Payable experience within a busy finance team • Strong reconciliation and payment processing experience • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines • Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to problem solving • Good Excel skills and confidence using finance systems • Experience working within a multi-entity environment would be highly beneficial What's on offer? • Hybrid working • The opportunity to join a growing and supportive finance team • Exposure to a varied role with plenty of responsibility • A business that values collaboration, development and continuous improvement • Competitive salary and excellent benefits package If you're looking for a role where you can take ownership, work within a friendly team and join a business with an exciting future, we'd love to hear from you.
