Assistant Director ASC– Home First and Provider Services Based in London, hybrid working 3 month contract This is a high-profile strategic leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape the future of adult social care across one of London's most ambitious boroughs. You'll lead a diverse portfolio of frontline services, working alongside senior NHS leaders and key partners to deliver integrated, person-centred services that help residents live independently, safely and well. About the Role Leading a workforce of approximately 260 colleagues, you'll have responsibility for a broad and complex service portfolio, including: • Hospital Discharge Pathways • Community Assessment and Intake • Short-Term Services and Reablement • Occupational Therapy and Home Adaptations • In-house Residential Care Homes • Shared Lives • The Dementia Hub Key Responsibilities • Provide strategic and operational leadership across Home First and Provider Services • Lead large-scale transformation programmes that improve outcomes and deliver sustainable services • Build strong partnerships across the NHS, providers, community organisations and regional partners • Ensure services are safe, high quality and fully compliant with statutory and CQC requirements • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and collaboration • Lead and inspire a large multidisciplinary workforce, creating an inclusive, high-performing culture • Manage significant budgets and resources, ensuring value for money and effective governance • Represent the Council at strategic boards, partnership meetings and regional forums Key Requirements A recognised Social Work or Health and Social Care qualification (or equivalent senior leadership experience) is essential, together with evidence of ongoing professional development. • Significant senior leadership experience within Adult Social Care • A strong track record of leading complex transformation and service improvement programmes • Expertise in commissioning, provider services, reablement, hospital discharge or community services
