Sixth Form & SEND Administrator Term Time Only | Permanent Are you an organised, compassionate and proactive administrator who is passionate about supporting young people to succeed? Our client is seeking a highly organised and student-focused Sixth Form & SEND Administrator to provide exceptional administrative, organisational and pastoral support across two key areas of the school: a thriving Sixth Form and dedicated SEND department. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to work closely with the Head of Sixth Form and Assistant Principal/SENCo, helping to ensure students receive the support, guidance and opportunities they need to achieve their full potential. The Role The successful candidate will play a central role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the Sixth Form, supporting students’ wellbeing, attendance, independent learning and progression into higher education, apprenticeships and employment. Responsibilities include: • Providing administrative and organisational support to the Head of Sixth Form. • Supervising Sixth Form study periods and promoting independent learning. • Supporting student wellbeing through pastoral and attendance interventions. • Coordinating internal and external Sixth Form applications. • Monitoring attendance and liaising with students, parents and carers where concerns arise. • Providing information and guidance on post-18 pathways, including university, apprenticeships and employment. • Supporting the delivery of the Sixth Form Enrichment Programme. • Assisting with the organisation of key events, including Open Evenings, Parents’ Evenings and Induction Day. • Supporting university visits and the UCAS application process. • Sharing relevant Sixth Form updates with staff. SEND Administration The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative support to the Assistant Principal/SENCo, helping to ensure effective provision for students with SEND and compliance with statutory requirements. Responsibilities include: • Managing the SENCo diary and coordinating meetings and EHCP Annual Reviews. • Preparing agendas, taking accurate minutes and distributing documentation. • Maintaining the SEND register and student databases, including SIMS and Arbor. • Ensuring SEND records are securely stored and maintained in line with GDPR requirements. • Supporting evidence gathering for funding applications and exam access arrangements. • Acting as a key point of contact for parents, carers and external professionals. • Liaising with primary schools to facilitate successful Year 7 SEND transitions. • Circulating student profiles and support strategies to teaching staff. • Monitoring and ordering specialist resources and equipment. • Assisting with SEND budget monitoring and expenditure tracking. About You They are looking for a candidate who: • Is highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Can build positive relationships with students, parents, staff and external agencies. • Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with professionalism. • Demonstrates a calm, supportive and student-centred approach. • Is confident using IT systems and databases, including SIMS or similar platforms. • Has knowledge of SEND processes and/or Sixth Form administration (desirable).
