Job description

A long-established and highly respected construction health and safety consultancy is seeking an experienced Administrator to join their small team in the South East. The consultancy provides independent CDM, Principal Designer and health and safety services across the construction industry. With a close-knit team of three, this is an excellent opportunity for an Administrator looking for a calm, stable and long-term position within a supportive professional environment. The successful Administrator can come from any administrative background, although previous experience in a similar office-based role is required. The business is looking for an Administrator who values consistency, takes pride in their work and wants to remain with the company for the long term. The Administrator's Role The Administrator will support the day-to-day running of the consultancy, working closely with experienced construction health and safety professionals. The Administrator will manage emails, telephone enquiries, documents and project records, helping to keep the office organised and efficient. The Administrator will also assist with client correspondence, diary coordination, invoicing and general business administration. Responsibilities will include: Managing incoming calls and emails Preparing and formatting reports, letters and project documents Maintaining accurate client and project records Supporting diary, meeting and appointment management Assisting with invoicing and basic accounts administration Updating spreadsheets and internal systems Organising electronic and paper files Providing general support to the wider team The Administrator The successful Administrator will be reliable, organised and comfortable working within a small business. They will have strong attention to detail and a professional approach when dealing with clients, consultants and contractors. Previous experience in an Administrator or office support role Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organisation and attention to detail A dependable and flexible approach Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team Experience within construction, consultancy or professional services would be advantageous A relevant Business Administration qualification, such as an NVQ Level 2 or 3, would be beneficial In Return?
